Thera Cane self-massage device uniquely designed to apply pressure to sore muscles.
Amazon.com Product Description
Ease your aches and pains without hiring a professional masseuse with the TheraCane massager. The simple yet effective self-massager makes it easy to apply pain-relieving deep compression directly to hard, knotted trigger points anywhere they occur, breaking up tension even in the hardest-to-reach muscle areas. The TheraCane works by adding pressure to the muscles, which helps maximize the flow of oxygenated blood. This pressure aids in restoring muscle function by breaking up adhesions in muscle fibers and tensions, thus making the muscle work more efficiently. It's the perfect tonic for a recurring injury, a long day on the job, or an active afternoon in the garden. The TheraCane, which comes in hunter green, measures 24 by 15 by 1 inches (W x H x D), weighs 2 pounds, and carries a two-year limited warranty.

Especially useful for the back or if you need to apply a good amount of pressure on spots such as the bottom of the foot. Things I like best about it include:-it's lightweight -handles positioned so you can keep pressure on a spot while rubbing -is in the shape of a "hook" so virtually no spot is out of reach Intended for those who need to regularly massage out tense areas in the muscles, it's a very useful tool- and cheaper than therapy! Also recommend Treat Your Own Spinal Stenosis if you suffer from chronic back pain. 24 of 25 people found the following review helpful Amazon Verified Purchase One thing to remember when using this cane, that I learned through my own research, is that if you are having any kind of muscle pain then you might want to consider if it's the fascia that's locking in that muscle pain. Fascia is best described as a type of saran wrap that covers all of your muscles in your body. It can be damaged by many things, including prolonged sitting.Anyways, you want to use this cane in a manner that goes in the opposite direction of the muscle. Example: the muscles in your legs run vertically so if your problem is in this area, then you should find a position on the floor where you can extend your leg and use short strokes horizontally on the trouble spot. Pull a little bit like you would when you stretch then release. You have to probe around to find where the spot on your body is where the fascia is crosslinked. If this is what the problem is then you will know because it is almost painful when you pull it at first in the opposite direction... Sitting on a plane hours at a time and sleeping in different 4 different beds 12 nights a month started wreaking havoc on my body. Not to mention, I'm fairly intense to begin with. I love this thing because I can get in there and use as much pressure as I am comfortable with. I like hard pressure and most massage therapists can't get in the muscle like I can with the Theracane. After about a week of 3 times a day... Read more |
