1.0 out of 5 stars Unsatisfactory Product and Vendor Response, November 5, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
Pulse-oximeter rapidly drained batteries. In one test run, a new set of batteries lasted for only 218 minutes (about 3.6hours) compared to the 30 hours described in the vendor literature. Multiple e-mails to the vendor's representative failed to result in any meaningful response. Eventually product was returned per vendor's request so it could be tested, but following return vendor refused to pay shipping expenses. Vendor could not (or would not) guarantee that a replacement would operate satisfactorily BUT they would not refund my purchase price.

3.0 out of 5 stars poor digital display, September 3, 2009
When I bought this product a few months ago, it worked fine. The display was easy to read and it had a good battery life. After a few weeks the lower half of the display started to not work at all...so it is not easy to get an accurate reading. You have to actually put on reading glasses to distinguish the difference between an 8 or 9. I actually had a reading of what I thought was 95 actually be 85. This is too important of a product to not be working correctly for someone who depends on this reading for their oxygen.
Unfortunately, I purchased this product at a store in my city as the hospital would not discharge me without one. I had a family member purchase it for me who lost the receipt and that is why I am checking out the other pulse oximeters. I would recommend buying a different one.

1.0 out of 5 stars DOESN'T WORK!!, January 20, 2010

i'm very disappointed. this does not give accurate readings. i've changed batteries twice hoping that was the issue but it isn't. I get very inconsistent and inaccurate readings. i don't even know what to do with it... it's basically a piece of garbage. without accurating readings, there's not point keeping it or using it.

i do not recommend you purchase this item. you'll be very disappointed and faced having to reorder another one elsewhere, like me.
